It's a glass bottle inside a plastic bottle.
*Ingenious right?*
Although taking out the insert that was in between the plastic and the glass, was a bit tricky, I finally got the paper insert (instructions) and the glass bottle out of the plastic shell.
We are always dropping our drinking bottles, but not to worry, this bottle is protected by the plastic cover and plastic lid cover on the bottom and top of the bottle, it is also drip proof.
I watched other reviews, one reviewer dropped the bottle straight down- the lid broke, usually most people drop bottles on the side, then he dropped it again where the protected lid was, and of course, the bottle cap broke "duh".
It has a small switch on the top lid to close the cap, in case you don't want anyone else drinking from your bottle. The top and bottom lids both have a silicon gasket, so the lids fit tightly.
On the second review, the young lady mentioned that her bottle came with a cleaning brush, and two designer covers to make your bottle look fancy, both of which were not included with my bottle.
I have tried my bottle and it keeps my water cooler, for a longer length of time. You do not get the funny taste one typically gets when drinking from plastic, silicon, or stainless steel bottles.
I was very satisfied with this bottle. This would make a great gift for your friends and/or family.
