When I received these I didn't know that they were going to be so soft and flexible. I'm glad they didn't turn out to be just another hard plastic-like container. They can morph and be flexible enough to fit in tight areas of you back pack. Here's some tips, if carrying in a bag where the container would not remain secure, don't store liquid items, only use dry snacks. You don't want to take a chance that while in transit it moves about and the top pops open. (you might end up with a puddle in your bag) Also don't overfill it when using it with liquids, I did and the top kept popping open and some of the slush came out (I tried making ice cream, it didn't go well): In there freezer these would be great for creating massive ice cubes for pitchers (think ice cold ice tea or lemonade) If using them for ice cubes, run the #SnackCubby under hot water to remove the super ice cube.

Several things to keep in mind, that are self–evident when using with liquids- To ensure a full seal, make sure all sides of the top are pressed in when snapping it shut. Give the container a slight squeeze when closing to ensure excess air is out, this will also help suck in the lid. Make sure there is about half an inch free on the top, this will help in it not popping open or not creating a full seal. The purple top I feel has a better seal and clicks in a bit stronger.
