This is a super soft mitt, that can be used to dust any surface. 

(Just be sure that the mitt is clean before dusting surfaces that can get scratches. The mitt will not scratch but leftover debris might scratch glass or TV displays.)

I do not advice on putting this in the washing machine, the best way to clean it after use is to vacuum it or hit it outside to shake off excess debris/dust. If using it to clean your car, then hand washing it and hanging it to dry is the best way to clean it and extend its durability. 
I'm not sure how well it will work when it comes to washing your dog or cat. I would think it might get rather heavy since the whole thing would get soaked and might get heavy with the weight of the water. 

 This mitt can have many uses for doing a major clean up job around the house or in your car, and yes maybe even with your fur babies. ;-)
